Well, I never got to working on the books this weekend..... I don't quite know what happened. Seems that real life intruded. Again. Sigh. Saturday was one of those days where I had to make myself stop to eat. It just seems like this list of endless things kept popping up. Like getting the dog to go out in the rain, the laundry, mail off packages, call my dad, the laundry, work on class proposals, make chili and cornbread, the laundry, etc. Oh well, enough of that whine (or as the joke goes, do you want some cheese to go with that whine). The rain has continued in a fierce fashion. I have to say that I like it for the most part but then I don't have to be out in it. My husband is a letter carrier. He has to be out in the weather no matter what. "... Neither rain nor snow nor dark of night shall stay these couriers from their appointed rounds..." Or something to that effect. Anyhow, those poor letter carriers are out there with the blowing wind and pelting rain, trying their best to keep the mail dry. Our letter carrier actually apologized for our Rolling Stone magazine getting wet. Meanwhile, there he was, standing on our porch totally soaked through despite the best in weather beating garments. Okay, since you have made it past my weather rant and the whine I will let you know what I did get done this weekend. I finished the beaded lady and here she is. Her bone face doesn't show in this picture at all but you can see in the picture of the trio of ladies. The other two I had done but I tweaked them a bit and made stand for all three of them. Sorry the picture is kind of dark. At least the weekend wasn't a total wash. Oh, yeah, I noticed the typos in my last entry after I posted it. Of course. Just typical for me. Anyhow, I figure now is as good a time as any to apologize for those typos. I try to keep them to a minimum but I did have to type that entry three times as I learned the system (I hope). And I want to apologize for future typos as well, because they are going to happen. Spell checker doesn't catch everything. So just know that typos are going to happen. And you know, it's okay. I never claimed perfection as a trait. Keep warm and dry, everyone.
Doris, I love her colors, so vibrant! Sorry your weekend was filled with so much laundry, if it makes you feel any better, sister, mine was too and the machine is starting to leak too! Anyway, love your girls!

Hi Doris, I took your Mighty Mini Metal Journal class (do you stay up at night thinking up these things?) back in August at AU. I look forward to seeing you at A&S in May 2007. Hope you're bringing some of these gorgeous dolls with you! Mine needs a playmate! :)
